Voyage Performance Reports: How to Generate One and What's Required

How to generate a Voyage Performance Report against CP warranty terms, what's required first (ZN Vessel Reporting, ingested CP terms), and the report types supported.

Question: How do I generate a Voyage Performance Report, and what do I need before I can?

The Voyage Performance Reports module lets you generate performance reports directly in the platform, evaluated against Charter Party (CP) warranty terms, in about 2–3 minutes rather than several days.

Report types supported:

  • Partially completed leg/passage

  • Single leg/passage with one or multiple speeds

  • Multi-leg/passage with one or multiple speeds

  • Multiple passages evaluated as one voyage

  • Periodic reports over longer periods

Prerequisites:

  • Performance is evaluated from the master's noon reports, so the vessel must be using ZN Vessel Reporting — the module doesn't support other reporting sources.

  • Charter Party (CP) terms must be ingested into the module first.

  • Historical weather data is collected automatically from Spire — no setup needed on your side for this part.

To generate a report:

  1. Confirm the vessel is using ZN Vessel Reporting and the relevant noon report for the completed voyage/leg/passage has been submitted.

  2. Go to Fleet Overview.

  3. Select the vessel to open its Vessel Dashboard/Overview page.

  4. Scroll down under the map and open the Voyage Performance Reports tab.

  5. Click Generate new report and follow the input dialogue.

Calculations and underlying metrics/benchmarks are unchanged from previous reporting methods, so figures stay consistent with historical reports.
